Seven Sisters of Sustainability

Seven Sisters of Sustainability is a "petal painting" composed by Michael and Marcia.that is inspired by the Celestial Asterism and Open Star Cluster "The Pleiades." Named for the mythological seven daughters of Pleione, the star cluster actually contains many more than seven stars. Using his small telescope, Galileo counted 36, meanwhile, most naked-eye viewers see only six. When introduced to these by Michael, Marcia quickly adopted the stars as her favorites.
