Rhododendron White is a digitally restored reproduction from a series of antique "Plates for the Nurserymen." The original print was used as a salesmen's sample to illustrate varieties of flowers, fruits, vegetables, and trees offered by 19th Century Nurseries located in Rochester, New York. Plates came in several formats such as hand-colored prints, theorem painting, woodcuts, and chromolithographs sold by Rochester’s printing firms from 1860-1905. In this case, the printer was the Stecher Litho Company.
